Our Story

Evolutionary Technology for a Greener Future

In 2016, Shipshape AgWorks started with a simple idea—turn repurposed shipping containers into modular hydroponic farms. Armed with Dale Speetjens’ expertise in environmental design and Angela Dobson’s deep knowledge of horticulture, what began as an urban farm in Mobile, Alabama, quickly grew into something much bigger.

When the pandemic hit, we didn’t just adapt—we innovated. Our breakthrough vertical farming system now produces the equivalent of five acres of crops in just 500 square feet. But for us, farming isn’t just about space efficiency—it’s about reshaping the way the world grows food.

As Shipshape evolved, so did our mission. Today, we’re leading the charge in AI-driven automation, renewable energy, and regenerative farming—because the future of food isn’t just about growing more. It’s about growing smarter, cleaner, and more resiliently.

We believe in hydroponics— and we’ve built a company that proves it can work for everyone.
